Network & Security Engineer (NOC/SOC)

PluginZ Solutions is hiring a Network & Security Engineer to run our network operations (NOC) and security operations (SOC) for our own environment and for our managed IT clients. You will keep client networks up, manage firewalls, watch monitoring and security alerts, and respond fast when something goes wrong. You will report to our Cybersecurity Manager. Key responsibilities: - NOC: monitor client networks, servers, internet links and critical services, and respond to outages and performance alerts within SLA. - SOC: watch security alerts in our SIEM (such as Microsoft Sentinel) and endpoint and email security tools, triage them, investigate at L1/L2 and escalate real incidents. - Install, configure and manage firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto or similar): policies, NAT, VPN, IPS, web filtering and firmware updates. - Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, VLANs, Wi-Fi and site-to-site VPNs. - Run vulnerability scans and follow up on remediation and patching with the system administrators. - Keep monitoring dashboards, alert rules and network documentation up to date. - Write clear incident tickets and reports for clients and management. - Take part in an on-call rotation for critical client incidents. Location: Maadi, Cairo (on-site, with visits to client sites when needed). Employment type: Full-time.

2 to 5 years in network engineering, NOC or SOC roles Hands-on experience configuring firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto or Cisco) Solid networking: TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPN, DNS and DHCP Experience with monitoring tools (PRTG, Zabbix, SolarWinds or similar) and a SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar or similar) Understanding of common attacks, alert triage and incident response steps Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID security is a plus Clear written English for tickets and reports, and Arabic Willing to join an on-call rotation Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Communications or a related field Nice to have: CCNA or CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4 or higher, CompTIA Security+ or CySA+, Microsoft SC-200
